Pretty cold and miserable but with so many indoor venues it's always a great time. Military get in free but parking is costly. Definitely worth going and taking the whole family especially if you catch a free day.

I have been to many zoos, but Brookfield never disappoints. I would highly recommend their membership if you live nearby. There is a lot to see so the family has a lot of places to go. I used to have the membership when I lived...More

Just visited today.... there are LOTS of empty and closed exhibits. Since the zoo is very large, you do a lot of walking and not seeing too many animals. Pachyderm house was closed, Tropic World Asia was empty, the old bear exhibit still sits empty,...More

So disappointed to see tiny enclosures for the animals. No enrichment , just boredom to be seen from all the animals.

We took our two 5 year-old grandkids to the Holiday Magic Night at Brookfield. We read the reviews talking about the parking nightmares. We're season ticket holders so we know the zoo fairly well, going 6-8 times per year. We arrived at the South parking...More

We arrived around 4:00 and came in from the Souithwest. This is a much better way to get in. If you arrive for the Holiday Magic at this time there is no way to avoid traffic. Your best bet is to get here plenty ahead...More

The parking is easy and inexpensive on property. Being from out of town, it was easy to get to from the highway as well.
