I recently went on the Chicago World Fare food tour through Wicker Park with a group of friends. We visited 4 different locations and sampled food and beverages at each. The tour guide was so informative and friendly! The food was super yummy and portions were perfect. Would definitely recommend this tour with a group of friends, for a date... More

As first timers visiting the beautiful city of Chicago, we thought a food tour would be the perfect activity to learn about Old Town. This food tour exceeded our expectations! Our guide, Kent, was so knowledgeable. He was full of Chicago history facts and delivered the tour in a fun and energetic way! He was able to answer everyone's questions... More

The Winter Delights Tour in Old Town is a surprise filled journey with a new discovery around every corner. I was amazed at the incomparable gastronomic delights at every establishment. The tour was well planned and timed. Rachel had pertinent information and it was delivered in a smooth, cohesive manner. A great value for time, cost and information. I'd recommend this... More

Just completed my first food tour (Winter Delights Tour) with Chi Food Planet which was amazing! This tour was about 2 hours long, along the tour we visited 6 establishments trying 2 bigger "meals", a few sweet treats, and taste testing some spices/cooking ingredients (if you like to cook, you will really appreciate this part of the tour)! This tour... More

Having taken all the tours in previous years from CFPFT, I was seriously looking forward to the Winter Delights tour they started offering for the winter. And they did not disappoint. It's a fun tour that you can take all winter long as the distances between stops are minimal. Our guide Kent was a pleasure and It's obvious he loves... More

We just finished the Gold Coast / Old Town tour with Kent. I've lived in chicago 25 years and have done many "touristy" things. This was our first time on a Food Planet tour and we loved it. We took my parents visiting from NC and it was their favorite tour yet. I learned so many things I'd never heard... More

I did the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour and it exceeded my already-high expectations. Kent, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable, easygoing, and funny -- his eight years of experience on the circuit had clearly left him an expert. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of insider's knowledge we got into these two neighborhoods. The tour was wonderfully spaced-out: we could... More

Fun & knowledgable tour guide (hi Kent!), good variety of food, some architecture and history information to go with it, and an opportunity to meet new like-minded people. Dress for the weather, and wear comfortable shoes as you will be on your feet a lot! I did the Wicker Park tour and the stores we visited were just as described.... More
