Art museums offer great perspective and this on is no exception. The sections have been well laid out and documented. I am a fan of the Impressionist era and there are some great works here. The Degas also were superb as were the other artists....More

This is a spectacular museum with something for everyone. There are wonderful pieces from every conceivable genre and time period, with the Impressionist collection particularly outstanding. Give yourself at least 3 hours to see the highlights, although you could easily stay far longer. Renting an...More

First-Chagall!!!! Chagall’s windows are extraordinary and a few blocks away you can visit his mural of the four seasons. Secondly, Seurat’s A Sunday on La Grande Jatte is amazing to see in person. There are Wifredo Lam paintings, Van Goghs (in the Bedroom), Picassos, Renoirs,...More

Reasonable price but also part of City Pass which has other attractions included in the price. A full day is needed to do it justice

We spent 2 hours here and probably didn’t see everything. We bought the Chicago explorer pass to skip ticket lines.

This museum (and the Field Museum) are two no miss museums! Try to go on a day when there are less people, to enjoy it more.

I have never tried to see the entire museum. The modern wing deserves 1 1/2-2 hours.

Yes, you’ll still have to wait in line at the ticket booth by the main entrance for the special exhibit tickets. But the lines are rarely that bad even on weekends. I bet on a Thursday you’ll have minimal wait time.
