I'm already looking forward to my next visit here. It is such an extensive collection of art displayed in the most beautiful of settings. There is so much work from the impressionists (whole rooms devoted to Monet and Letrec) as well as all different kinds of artistic traditions. One thing not to miss is the café! The lunch I enjoyed... More

We thought the museum was a little difficult to navigate but had the best art we've seen in the US. Very popular.

Loved this art house for wondering and gaining inspiration. The all day ticket price $25 gets you admission in and out all day (as it suggests) and access to everything. Don't forget to download the free app as it can do virtual tours and voice overs of certain pieces. Coffee shop has got power points and wifi is free throughout.... More

I had not visited the AI for over 23 years and had forgotten how amazing this collection is. This trip was with my tween daughter who is beginning to study geography and ancient histories so being able to see art from various early civilizations was bringing history to life for her. We also loved the extensive impressionism collection and my... More

There is to much to this place to write. What I will say is that even if you aren't an "art person", there are so many artifacts from around the world, you would be hard pressed to find something that didn't interest you. My only complaint is that over the years, the ornate armor and swords has been pushed into... More

I have visited the Art Institute every few years for about fifty years. I am always amazed at the quality of their collection and the fact that it is so manageable. Was also pleased to be there on a day when Bank of America customers received free admission. This started things out on the right foot. During this visit I... More
