The Loop is where the trains come into and where you can pick up any of the CTA lines and buses. It is very active during business hours with some good restaurants for a quick bite. But everything closes at night and lots closed on...More

At one time, State St. was a great street. It is still the hub of activity, but Michigan Ave. has taken over for shopping. The Loop is known for the el lines that loop around it.

A busy area with lots to see and do. Very nice to see this from the distance and makes it fit into the whole concept of the city

We did a walk through The Loop and noted many of the very interestingly designed historic buildings, such as the Willis Tower, old City Hall - the Rookery, the wonderful library and many more. Well worth the walk thru The Loop.

The "Loop" is Chicago's downtown. Try to take one of the Chicago Architectural Tours of some of the famous buildings in the Loop. Chicago is known as the birthplace of the modern skyscraper.

Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a
good starting point to sample the city's energy and

Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier
shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep
your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many
photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of
Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of
