You really need more than a day to be able to see everything here. From expensive shops to fun places to eat and visit, you get it all here. It does take a day or even two to make sure you see everything and bring your credit card with you because you won't be able to resist shopping a bit.

We loved the shopping here. There were stores all around and a vertical mall. The mall had mid to upscale stores. There were also restaurants in every block. I would like to come back when I have more time to shop around and see it all.

Nothing too special about this spot... would recommend a walk down the Magnificent Mile at least for the food options that you'll find. The stores on the mile are nothing real special, just a little higher priced than the mall!

I've walked the MM many times. The wind can be cold, but it's a great way to experience Chicago. Make sure you take the time to cross the river!

This area is very safe. My wife and kids loved it due to the shopping. It is very busy. Chicago drivers can be crazy so be careful.

Beautiful store window displays. If you have a limitless budget, it is the perfect place to buy a new wardrobe. For the average person, it's just fun to look.

We have been to Michigan Ave many times over the last 20 years, this was the best visit yet!! We found parking quickly, it cost 29.00 for about 4-5 hours of us being there. I felt safe. It was clean and there were stores that everyone loved. Starbucks on every corner which I think is a bonus!! We enjoyed our... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
