So much fun. Nice and complex, had a great night with friends. Highly recommended! The space was inviting, surprises around every corner and there are selections that will captivate any and all. We ran the special ops scenario and finished it. We were so happy I bought a t-shirt. I want to go back to do their prison break scenario.

This escape room was the best one I have done. It was not extremely difficult, but was challenging enough to trip you up a little bit. Our guide was really nice and gave us helpful clues when we were stuck. I went with a group of 7 and we finished with 10 minutes left. I recommend this room for teenagers/adults.

My team of 15 split into two groups to go through the Gold Rush and the Special Ops Rooms. I was a part of the Gold Rush group and this room was EXCELLENT! A huge variety of puzzles kept everyone engaged and a number of fun surprises made this hour-long exercise go by way too fast. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone as a fun event and/or for team building because we had to work together to get out!

We took on the Gold Rush with 4 adults and 5 kids ranging in age from 6-11. Every participant was able to contribute at one point or another. It was engaging and exciting. The clues were helpful. We managed to escape with a few minutes to spare.

We did The Heist. There were several rooms to explore, and there were a lot of varied clues to solve. We had a lot of fun, and the clues definitely had some unique solutions. Our guide was Dakotah, and helped us with our 3 clues. We used almost the entire hour, but were successful in the end. Everyone was very nice and helpful and I would recommend this for people looking for something fun to do. We were also very impressed with the cleanliness and safety precautions they and in place.

I've played and enjoyed all the ones in SF, and ever since I've been hyped to play their other games in other states. I'm happy to say that Chicago's store lives up to the hype! Though I personally wanted less hints, I can't deny that our game guide Lucas gave some extremely helpful ones that made the game more enjoyable for everyone else who played with me. Thank you Lucas and everyone else at the Chicago branch who helped make the experience great for us! I hope to play another game again soon.

I've been to The Escape Game Chicago twice now over the last month and it's always a fun night out with friends. Covid protocols are followed and we felt safe as they don't mix groups for games currently. Gold Rush and The Heist were both super fun, we highly recommend! I'll be visiting again in the near future.

Great fun! I took my family of 6 there for the holiday weekend. With COVID19 going on we were a little weary of participating in anything with a crowd. The checkin was easy and we were separated from other groups. The rooms are pre-sanitized so we were very comfortable. We didn’t escape (we thought we won and lost time with a last minute plot twist), but we had a great time. The kids loved it!

My fiancé and I went here for a first time escape room for both of us. We had so much fun and enjoyed ourselves so much. We were told that our group was the first of the day to complete this room! With two minutes to spare too, haha! They have unlimited amounts of hints which was extremely helpful for beginners like us! We were paired with 5 other individuals that we did not know but we all came together and figured it out! It was such a fun exercise and the staff was EXTREMELY helpful, kind, and welcoming!! A big shoutout to “Z$”! We really enjoyed our time and would totally recommend this!! Side note, this is- apparently- the most difficult room they offer and it definitely required some brain power but it was so very fun!! Use those hints if you are a beginner!

We played Mission to Mars. It was plenty challenging while still being fun. I don’t want to spoil anything, but it is totally worth your time, and very different from other escape rooms I’ve done. Michael our game master, and Matt at the front desk were so awesome and enthusiastic and really made the experience. Thank you!

Can you book a private room just for your party and if so does it cost more?
Written 13 November 2018
So if you go to book online, you can "reserve" as many spots as you want (until you hit the maximum, of course). It's public though. So, let's say you want to reserve an 8 max room. You reserve 4 spots for you and your 3 friends. If another party wants to do that room at that time, they can reserve the remaining spots. Then it would be all 8 of you in that room.
Really, unless it's gotten super busy since I went last, you should be fine. Especially if you book kind of last-minute, or at a time that seems relatively sparse (i.e. you're looking at the reserve page and none of the time spots around it are taken either).
You CAN ensure yourself a private room by reserving (and paying for) all of the spots, however in my experience this is not necessary.

We have a 2 day Chicago Go Card. We did the Escape room today. Can we do it again tomorrow?
Written 27 June 2018
It depends on what kind of Go Card you purchased. If you have the all inclusive, then you can visit each attraction once per day for most attractions (double-check in the guidebook for Escape game). If you have the Explorer pass, then you are only allowed once per attraction. Have fun!

Eight people per room. There were 4 of us and 2 others in the first game, so 6 and in the second game 3 people joined us, so 7 total. You pay for however many are in your group and they can add another group to your game with a max of 8 people in all.

$34.99 for the three normal rooms (Heist, Gold Rush, and Prison Break), and $39.99 for the premium room known as Mission Mars. Mission Mars is very difficult and very different from traditional escape rooms as it has a lot of touchscreen and technology in the room. I would recommend it to those looking for a great time and a challenge!

What times are available 2-18 thru 2-20? Age limits?

Times are available online & based on which room you want to play. I would say anyone above the age of 8 can play! Probably not as for really little kids.
