We are Chicago's river transportation service. An iconic fleet of black and yellow boats, we serve all three branches of the Chicago River from March to November. Our stops include Michigan Avenue, Chinatown, North Avenue, Clark and LaSalle, The Chicago Riverwalk, and Union and Ogilvie Train Station. There is no better way to get around Chicago than by boat!

Getting out on the water is a great way to visit the city. I am not sure how often the boats are open but they are a real treat to use. It's a nice alternative way to get around the city.

A bit disappointed. I called ahead to find out where the pick ups were for the water taxi and explained we were looking for a way to see the city. Everyone was helpful. My husband and I walked from the Hilton on Michigan 7 or...More

Efren, We apologize for your experience. Our Winter Schedule is very limited and only includes three stops: Michigan Avenue, Ogilvie/Union (West Loop), and The Riverwalk. Are you still in Chicago? If so, please email taxi@wendellaboats.com and reference this review response.

Would recommend walking and taking the water taxi! You see a lot on the water that you do not see when you are walking on the walkway!

Great way to see some of the city for a reasonable price. Helpful staff and you can buy your ticket on the boat.

Happened by the Chicago Water Taxi Kiosk near North Michigan Avenue and decided to see the details. We were flexible on time, knew we wanted to take in the Willis Tower (along the CWT stops) and figured we would give it a try. Totally worth...More

If like me you feel that the $30 plus per person being charged by the river cruise companies is a bit excessive, this is the way to see central Chicago from the water. A day pass costs $9-I took the boat from Michigan Avenue to...More

Boat taxi running from Michigan Ave. to Chinatown with stops at the Ogilvy Transportation Center. This is not a fast taxi, but a slow boat ride taxi - which is good since it allows you some great sightseeing along the rivers in the heart of...More

Very nice way of seeing the city from the river and very inexpensive. It would have been nice to have a route to go into the lake but they do not have so because of that you need to do a cruse. Even though you...More

Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan
Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent
Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago
River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out
neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the
place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with
shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and
dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale.

The last stop is at Michigan Ave. Trump Tower. It does not go to Navy Pier. However, there is a free Navy Pier Trolley that you can catch at Rush and Illinois one block north of Navy pier. Ask on the water taxi . The taxi... More
