The biggest and one of the better convention centers I have been to

One of the mega convention centers in the US. Good service, but die to the size requires some walking. Hotels are often in downtown, and then shuttle service is setup between accommodation and convention. Shuttle buses can bypass rush hour on special designated tunnel route. Center itself is connected to a Hyatt, but not many more hotels out there. Red... More

Of course people don't go there unless there is a convention to attend. Our busses let us off at one end, and it was more than half a mile to walk to where the classes were held in the north building.

I used their public parking garage while in Chicago seeing the Bean on a Saturday. They had a special early bird rate that was very reasonable.

A professional meeting all in one building, logistics were great. Lots of help from the McCormick staff. the building and restrooms were very clean. I will be happy to return next year. I was very impressed that the building had a security dog patrolling the event to ensure the safety of the visitors .

I love this place for conventions in general. I've gone here for C2E2, a dog show, the auto show, etc. It's never dirty. Events are always great. Very spacious. The only thing I don't like is how confusing the layout is, but this could be fixed with more signage.

Be prepared to walk and walk and walk to wherever your conference room is. Try taking the bus or uber instead of parking.

We had not been to the Chicago Auto Show for over 10 years and decided to attend this year. This location is big enough to show more than just the basic cars. They also have more than one version of some models. They do a fairly good job of getting people through the gates when it opens. We bought tickets... More

Great site for fairs but arriving and leaving is quite unpleasant. The best solution: stay at the hyatt attached to the site!!

What a good time walking around seeing the new cars & trucks. Take time to test drive some Fords & a Jeep trail ride. But at fancy sports cars a really a sight! It's only open for another week.

Beautiful and immaculately clean facility. Just be warned... wear your sneakers or comfy shoes because it spans a number of city blocks. It is huge. I was impressed with the location.... pop out on one side for a view of a gothic church... another and you are in the midst of a gaggle of food trucks.... another.... shops and path... More

Neighbourhood Profile
South Loop
This downtown neighborhood offers a variety of activities ranging from cultural to sporting. If you happen to visit during football season, you may bump into a boisterous few fans on their way to a Bears game on the southernmost tip of South Loop. On the flip side, Museum Campus offers cultural and educational experiences in its planetarium, museum and aquarium, all situated along the lakefront. Grant Park is one of Chicago’s premier locations for green space and recreation with views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline.
