What an absolute monstrosity of a convention center. Poor signage within and a lack of reasonable facilities makes attending a conference here a challenge. Expect to walk considerable distances especially if your convention uses the lakeside rooms. The saving grace is that it is reasonably...More

Very huge complex. One might think the sign and guidance would be properly done, but no. Not that easy approach, quite a distance to the city center. Not my favorite exhibition hall.

Too large, hard to get oriented. Signage poor. Virtually no food choices, forcing us to UBER to Chinatown. Unbelievable that they can't get some local merchants in there - think they'd make a killing. Room set up was poor, with some sessions too packed and...More

The venue is bit south of the Loop, but cab fare was tolerable. McCormick Place is immense in every sense of the word. A lovely place, well marked and open, with plenty of meeting areas and a great flow to the space. There was a...More

Attended a relatively small conference here July 2017. ENORMOUS-This complex is unbelievably huge. It is well maintained and spotless. Meeting rooms are well marked, staff everyone so helpful. At least for the conference I attended, computer support and AV were perfect. It all appears to...More

This place is amazingly huge. One of the biggest convention center of the world. Best place to organise the 100th Convention of LCI. There were 50000 people and it dint even feel like filled.

In town for a large basketball tournament. There were over 75 courts in this one area. And other conferences were going on as well. Great place but it's out of the way from downtown Chicago.

If you are attending a trade show or exhibition that uses all the floors of all the buildings, wear your best running shoes for you will walk miles. The concession stands are good, the escalators better and the bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The...More

South Loop
This downtown neighborhood offers a variety of
activities ranging from cultural to sporting. If you
happen to visit during football season, you may bump
into a boisterous few fans on their way to a Bears
game on the southernmost tip of South Loop. On the
flip side, Museum Campus offers cultural and
educational experiences in its planetarium, museum and
aquarium, all situated along the lakefront. Grant Park

We used the bus. It was cheaper to leave the car in the parking garage there and use the bus system to get around. It was maybe $2 a person to use the bus. The pick up area is directly in front and there are maps so you can... More
