I have been to a few beautiful concerts here at CSO and decided to try this "movie along with the concert." We chose E.T. where we would watch this old 1982 classic while listening to the score played live by the symphony. The movie actually took away from the musicians' performance. We found it distracting and I think some guests... More

We might have enjoyed it if the seats weren't so uncomfortable! I don't think I have ever had to sit in such horrible seats before. There is no leg room and the backs are super straight. Also, my husband was actually getting dizzy from the height. And we are in our late 20's! Try to get aisle seats so you... More

This is an experience that all music lovers need to do. Beautiful historic building also. Plenty of places to eat near by and great park only one block away.

My family attended a mid-week concert at the Symphony Center and it was fantastic! The sound and music played was beautiful! My youngest son, age 12, was captivated by all the awesome instruments. The conductor draws you into the music and makes it lively and exciting for the audience. If you are visiting Chicago and have the time, consider visiting... More

Symphony Hall is not only a building but its performances are suited for audiences of all types. We regularly attend the Christmas program, and their Film Score series. For the more classical performances, they do an excellent laymen terms breakdown of the piece so that your appreciation is heightened.

Dissent price tickets, but all the way on the top. Good location in front of Millennial Park, walking distance from everything. Music was awesome.

We were here for a Joan Baez concert and although we are in our early seventies we felt we were among the youngest audience members there! Seems logical since Joan Baez was popular when we were in high school. We hard her beautiful voice perfectly and every strum of her guitar was crystal clear. In fact, we felt like we... More

Location is easy to find and you can reserve a parking spot in advance. Seating is easy to find, ambiance is elegant, musicians excellent. Chairs are a bit hard, but roomy enough. A little piece of heaven while you are there.
