Great view and on a clear day you can see Indiana.

If you just want to have a drink you can go to the bar (which is one flight down) and have a west view. The east view is from the restaurant which is another flight down. so if... read more

I mean you just can't beat the views here and you are right up against the lakeshore (practically). Great views of the Loop and up and down the shoreline. It is so worth it to come here rather than the observation deck as for a nominal cost (though an expensive drink). Well worth it considering the views you get. No... More

Enjoyed the views! Last time we were here it was day time, this time we arrived just before dusk and got some great pictures of the sun setting and night time lights of the city ! We only came for a drink, didn't stay longer than 1.5 hours, pricey drinks but no charge to enjoy the beautiful city skyline !

We wanted to see Chicago from one of the towers without spending an arm and a leg. It's $20/person to take the elevator to the John Hancock observation deck. We decided to check out the Signature lounge on the floor below for the cost of a few drinks and dessert. We went up after dark. The city looked awesome all... More

If you want to see Chicago skyline, this is definitely the place. Instead of going to the observatory, we decided to go to the Signature lounge. You can eat and drink and have an amazing view for as long as you like. Tip1: If you want to be seated by the window and the tables are full, ask one of... More

Day or night this is a great spot to take guests or just to go enjoy a drink with a beautiful view. The line can be long at times to go up in the elevator. Then when you get upstairs to the lounge, there may be a wait as well. It is worth it if you have the time.

Recommended by the excellent Wendella Tours to do this as it is cheaper than just doing the viewing deck, we did this at 4pm on a Friday, which mean a short wait for a table for the two of us. The drinks (old Fashioned) were not of a high quality, but the views were spectacular and made the substandard drinks... More

A must do when visiting the beautiful city of Chicago ! Take pics and have a cocktail in the bar ! Skip the actual deck and go to the bar, the price you would spend is the same to have a nice cocktail

Advised to go here as observation deck is $20/head, but lounge is free. Just buy an overpriced drink. Completely accurate. Instead of paying $40 for two of us to go to deck, we went into lounge, paid $35 for an Irish Coffee and an old fashioned, and got to look out over the city for about 30 minutes. But window... More

It can get pretty busy on the weekends, you may have to stand in line for 30 min - hour if you are lucky on a Friday or Saturday so time it to be up there before sunset and stay until dark if you can allow that much time. Don't expect cheap drinks :) there are no happy hour specials.... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighbourhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
