The owner/leader of our tour was simply an amazing human being. He started out by memorizing the names of everyone in our tour. Then they did an excellent job of emphasizing everyone's safety before we took off. We did a LOT of sight-seeing, and he...More

I had a Groupon that I had forgot about and let expire last year. They accepted it at it's face value without any problems. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful, especially Matthew who got my friend all setup with a double kayak. We rented...More

Everything was perfect with this tour. I never kayaked before and am not super athletic. I have briefly canoed though. They give you a quick but concise training and safety course to start then the staff patiently gets everyone in a kayak. They offer your...More

My husband and I really enjoyed this Father's Day outing and commend Waterriders for their professionalism and commitment to safety on what was a very busy day on the Chicago River. The staff-to-customer ratio was very high, which made me feel comfortable. My one criticism...More

We had a blast with Adam yesterday. Only one of us fell in but the rest of us had a cool time, also. (hey, don't worry Adam says only about 10 people each summer fall in and we'll now, there are only nine more who...More

I did the Ghosts and Gangsters tour which I did primarily because I wanted to try out kayaking and I thought this would be a great opportunity to do so while also hearing more about the city. I thought the tour was fun and I...More

Let me initially state that I am not an outdoor/sporty kind of guy. Don’t get the wrong idea. I like being outside but only when I am relaxing in the backyard or lying beside a pool. My wife, however, is very much an outside/sporty kind...More

We went on the architecture and history tour. The tour guide was very good - stories I had never heard on other boat tours. They did a great job teaching us how to kayak and kept us safe on the river. Very fun! Highly recommend...More

We went on the architecture tour! We live in Evanston but wanted to learn a few things about the city. If you want to kayak and not have to stop, just book an appointment to rent on your own (don't do the tour). Or else...More

Hi! I'm a soon to be first-time kayaker getting a tour for my boyfriend and I for his birthday. I can't decide between doing the architecture day tour or the gangster night tour. Both options seem to have such beautiful city views. I might be more nervous during the night tour because of the dark water but I'd be willing to do either. Any thoughts?
