There is no better way to experience wine than right here from the source. After a tasting, you can enjoy a glass or bottle of wine, craft beer or soda, plus local cheeses while browsing the gift shop, quizzing the wino staff, or just relaxing inside or outdoors. Guests may bring a picnic & take advantage of the board games in the tasting room. We love to show our friends the winery and talk about the wine making process. Private tours & tastings are available for large and small groups, ranging from $5 to $15 per person.

Sleepy Creek is a great destination to meet friends and socialize. We feature live music by original singers and songwriters, comedy, film festivals, plays & other unique entertainment. Sleepy Creek now hosts a B & W: Its like a Bed and Breakfast, but the only thing we make here is Wine, but there is a full kitchen to make what you want, when you want, and we provide the wine. Stop in to give it a look-it's a great place to have friends and family stay when you "just can't fit them" in your house.

My wife and I actually had our wedding here. Very small venue, but under new ownership. I believe they are trying to be more open to events. They have several varieties of wines and wine slushies. They also sell some Artisanal cheeses and other items. Nice place to spend a summer evening or winter evening for that matter.

This is a great little hideaway in rural Illinois. Excellent wine and entertainment. The new owners have taken this place to the next level.

We visit here often. I love their different wines and homemade Sangria. Their atmosphere is homey. They have a popcorn machine and other snacks or welcome you to bring in snacks and sit and visit as long as you wish. They have a pond, art collection, occasional bands and bonfires.

A very nice setting nestled in the farm country of Illinois. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. There were many different wines to choose but many were sold out. Prices were right in the middle of what I call fair. There is even a B&B on the grounds. Will be back when in the area.

Welcoming atmosphere, great staff. You can buy cheese and crackers or take your own picnic basket, Inside and outside seating. On Sunday they have a Bloody Mary Bar with spicy tomato wine for the alcohol, it's quite good. I love Bloody Mary's and always buy a couple of bottles to take home. They have a loft rental for overnight, I... More

We enjoyed visiting Sleepy Creek for over a year now. It's so peaceful and relaxing to just sit and visit or watch the sun go down. We've brought food to enjoy, we've played cards a time or two. They offer an open fire to (outside) to roast marshmallows or hot dogs. It's just a nice place to unwind. The staff... More

I visit friends in Oakwood, IL every summer and we HAVE to go here every single year. The atmosphere of the winery is very sophisticated, yet relaxed. You can sit for hours and play the board games that they provide, have wine and a great time. They have delicious cheeses and wine to die for! Try the Lemon Slushy or... More

The people at Sleep Creek are amazing! Their wines are fabulous and the loft above the winery that we stayed overnight in is beyond description! The kitchen is nicer than in most people's homes! Everything you need (and some things you don't) are furnished for you! They even have a washer and dryer! It's very quiet and the view of... More
