Park has memorials established on the east side of the river. Very nice walking path to “stretch the legs” a bit.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here, sipping champagne while enjoying the beautiful fall colors, and warm temps on the Oct. 21st. Plenty of picnic tables under a covered shelter, park benches, a gazebo (no seating), and a lovely fountain.

Just a short walk across the pedestrian bridge (beautiful views!), over the river, to the well-maintained Grant Park. Old war trophy canons and a large statue of General Grant. Well worth the stroll across the bridge.

This is one of the loviest parks. It has interesting statues and cannons with plaques to read that give you historical facts. The view over the river is breathtaking. It is truly an old fashioned park and one you will enjoy.
