If you are in the Kankakee area and have even a passing interest in Frank Lloyd Wright's "Prairie Style," this is a must see. Docent was very knowledgeable as was gift shop staff. Gift shop has wonderful array of Wright-inspired items at all price points. Nice views of Kankakee River. Wright enthusiasts from Romania went through on tour before us-this... More

One of Architect Frank Lloyd Wright's most important designs. This house is very interesting as it was designed by Wright as he was perfecting his prairie style. Lovingly restored on a beautiful and spacious riverfront site. Well worth the drive from Chicago. The living room has a large bay window with incredible art glass of Wright's design, breathtaking!

Events such as banquets and Art Exhibitions are held here throughout the year. I have done photo shoots within the house and on the grounds and participated both as an arts council and community member in events. A quaint gift shop with historic, Kankakee and Wright related items with many local artisan items to choose from. The workers are friendly... More

The drive from Chicago area was worthwhile to meet a docent, who can't help but be passionate about this first Wright commission. The six of us were joined by 6 other unrelated tour participants for the 1pm Thursday tour. The tour was scheduled to last for an hour but the tour ran longer. Our group did not notice the time... My daughter and I had a lovely time visiting this gem. The property has had quite the history, but the renovations are beautiful. There is an admission fee, and of course a gift shop. If you get a chance, take the boat ride! It's $10 per person and you pay at the dock.

As fans of Frank Lloyd Wright, my husband and I have visited a few of the homes he designed. The B. Harley Bradley House was the first of his Prairie Style Homes. Our guide. Laura, passionately helped us see the remarkable attention to detail and the interesting history of the home's many owners. She gave an excellent, in-depth tour, lasting... More

We had a wonderful visit to the Bradley House built by Frank Lloyd Wright. Our tour guide, Lorraine, was outstanding! If you get a chance stop by for the visit!

This house was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1905. It is credited to be the first prairie house he designed. It is beautiful!! If you are ever in the area and have time and take it to her you will be amazed at her story over the years and her survival into this century.

We came late in the day but Laura still gave us the tour. We had a wonderful time. She answered every question we could throw at her. It was very interesting. The house was gorgeous of course but Laura made the tour special. If you're interested in the history of one of FLW's home, this will be a treat. Ask... More

Well worth the trip, the docent was thorough without being tedious. One of the best wright homes I've seen.
