Nice little park

A nice, clean state park with nice views of the river. The grounds are well maintained and the buildings are nice to see. Easy waking and biking trails

Very well kept state park with play ground, bath house, all level gravel sites with paved roads. I didn't have reservations but went anyway. Met the camp ground host and she said they are hardly ever full. $20 for the night! They do not take credit/debt cards . Great place super quiet! Only 1 1/2 miles off the interstate.

Great park with a wonderful visitor center, make sure to check out the exhibits and information in the visitor center - amazing views of the Ohio River, take time to walk down to see the river, so worth it!! LOTS of history here.

Overlooking the Ohio River from the southern tip of Illinois, Fort Massac State Park has been preserved and maintained since 1908, when it became Illinois' first state park. Today, it is a captivating reminder of days gone by, a fascinating trip through the entire course of American history and the perfect place to relax in soothing pristine and natural surroundings... This is a great park and worth stopping for a picnic while passing through. It's a short distance off the interstate. The Fort replica is also a nice addition.

Very nice facilities . Very historic , and educational place . Great museum with artifacts galore !! Only thing that could have made it better , if you could walk within the reconstructed old fort . But I can understand with vandalism as bad as it is these days . Nice park , overlooking the Ohio River . Well worth... More

I may be a little biased since I live close to Fort Massac State Park. However the truth is still the truth this park is absolutely pristine. Squirrels and deer are everywhere it is kept very clean and the grass is always kept mowed. There's also a nice boat ramp with Scenic views of the river. The Visitor Center has... More

This one is really nice. I like when the parks aren't overly maintained and nature is allowed to be the primary focus. This one is great! Lake, green, fresh and easy to get to.

Beautiful view of the Ohio River. Nice interpretive center. Lots of cute deer roaming the park. But the reconstructed fort is fenced and locked. Too bad.

My husband and I stopped there to see the historic sites. They have a huge collection of stone artifacts used as tools by the Native Americans from an ancient era. This is a great place to instill the love of history in a child.
