Lots to see here! Besides trains galore.......

......there are very nice things to do and see quite close by. It is very safe and children would be thrilled by the parade of trains to see in a very safe environment!

My wife and I spent a lot of time exploring this area as we used to frequent Naperville quite often. The Naperville Historic District is a set of 613 buildings in Naperville. The district represents the town as it was originally platted and a few early additions. To fully appreciate the Historic district requires a bit of walking. Everything is... More

Staying with friends we walk through the historic district as we make our way downtown or to the Riverwalk. Beautifully kept homes the area has an older feel to the Naperville days of old. A nice contrast to the changes the downtown has unde gone over the years.

OK, I live in the historic district of Naperville. I hope that doesn't disqualify me as I toot my own horn. I live in 5th Ave Station, a former furniture factory converted into a business mall and apartment complex. The building parallels the Metro tracks and is reputed to be haunted from a terrible train accident in the nineteen forties.... More

JMJ I hardly ever get to go to Naperville and had to go for a family funeral. There were so many great parks, stores, historical buildings, and more to see. Hope to go back for one of their many festivals and events!

The historic district is between the downtown and the college. The old homes are very interesting to look at and while the downtown can get crazy, this area is very quiet and peaceful. Well worth taking a walk thru and enjoying the sights. The college has some interesting buildings to look at as well.

I've lived in Naperville's historic district for more than 20 years, and would not want to live anywhere else. Easy access to Chicago by train or expressway. Many restaurants of every type and variety. Interesting shopping. Make sure you take a walk on the Riverwalk.

Naperville has done a nice job of retaining and restoring its old downtown section. We had no idea that it was established as a city a few years b4 Chicago. We enjoyed walking up and down the streets looking at the various stores.
