Looking for a pristine beach without a crowd? Barra is your spot. There's hardly anyone ever there. It's probably one of the best kept secrets from the masses because this beach is simply beautiful. Pristine and spacious, Barra is everything you could ever ask for in a beach. The water is crystal clear and warm, and the surf is quite... More

Great stay at Barefoot in Barra, loved walking to Chill Bar for drinks and food: take a torch for the night walk home.

When we visited Barra beach it's mid week and we only encounter two people in the total lenght of Barra beach. It's a lovely beach, we have the company of crabs. It's a beautiful walk.

Situated very close to the sea one walks out of the hotel gate onto the beach with a short stroll down to the inviting warm sea water.Facilities are good with two lovely swimming pools, one in front of the hotel and the other situated next door at their pool bar.Rooms are comfortable and are available in the hotel and cottages... We spent 10 days in Barra, one of the most beautiful places in the world, Safe warm waters, reefs you can dive on and Ocean Safaris . Lots of sellers on the beach that can become irritating but bear in mind that they have to make a living .Out of season it nice and quite, so plan your trip accordingly

The best beach in Tofo, and one of the best we saw in Mozambique. There are lots of restaurants and lodges running along the beach yet it is very quite and peaceful.

The beach is ok, I prefer the beach at Tofo. The problem with this area is thats theres too many students / guys that think they own the place. They have a bad attitude and treat the locals very badly. So we packed up and headed to Tofo beach - where the people are much more laid back and you... More

Walked at low tide to Barra for about 3 miles to the lighthouse and then around point to most amazing sheltered white sand beach. Miles long. Beautiful setting with little inland salt lake /pond. Range of bars and next to no one there! South Africans all left. Found a raised bar restaurant just off the beach and had an amazing... More
