Established in 1951, Luthy Botanical Garden encompasses five acres and offers over a dozen theme gardens, a Conservatory, a garden gift shop educational programming, numerous events, a rotating sculpture exhibit and magnificent floral displays.

This is probably the BEST unknown and not advertised spots in the Peoria area. We stop here every time we are in the area weather permitting. Just make sure to be long gone from this area of town before dark.

Yes, they have free parking. We walked from the gardens to the zoo, so don't know if the zoo's parking is also free, but would assume so. Enjoy!
