Peoria Riverfront Museum features international exhibitions, the Dome Planetarium, RealD Giant Screen Theater, art & natural history collections, and interactive galleries - including IHSA Peak Performance, Illinois River Experience, Discovery Worlds & The Street local history. We offer unique classes, programs and community outreach efforts that provide fun, hands-on educational experiences for all ages. The Museum is the perfect, riverfront location for one-of-a-kind event rentals - unique weddings in the sculpture garden, corporate team building activities, relaxing meeting spots, special celebrations, giant screen video game competitions and even dinners under the stars. Peoria Riverfront Museum is a privately funded AAM-accredited nonprofit museum. Our mission is to inspire lifelong learning for all - connecting art, history, science and achievement through collections, exhibitions, and programs.

This place was really cool! There is a lot to do that is free during certain hours and it's a blast! Some rooms you need your arm bracelet to get into bit if you time it right, you get to do some fun things free....More

Even though we live 50 miles away we joined because we are in the area several times a year for shopping, etc. We have four grandkids who enjoyed this ages 14, 9, 7 and 2. They have a laser and light show going on now...More

Really clean and new history and science center. However not terribly exciting for young children and kind of limited for the cost of admission. Still suggest a visit, espiecally for regional history buffs, and a great downtown location.

We became members of the museum as it was cost-effective if we planned on making multiple visits. I'm so glad we made this choice multiple times I have stopped by for a couple hours to allow the kiddos to play in between visits or doctors...More
