Hidden in the middle of Schaumburg is this jewel of a location. Take the kids to the playground and let them enjoy a fun filled afternoon. Trails are both paved and wood chipped so choose your walking pleasure. So relaxing here, places to sit along the trail or near the waterfront and watch nature. Walked a little deeper and your... Nothing will wow you.....just basic trails for walking. No water fountains unless you make it to the farm house. The major trails you might get ran over by a bike but that is your risk. The farmhouse is nice to see animals. It is small. Blackberries in the late summer. Nothing will wow you.

Recently young grandson spent the weekend and I was desperate to find an outdoor activity and then a light bulb went on! The Spring Valley Nature Center! Have not been there in years (my mistake) but we had a wonderful time walking a trail to the log cabin. Stopped along the way on benches provided throughout the grounds which gave... More

The place is very interesting you can see a lot of animals, very relaxing place, bring a camera with and good walking shoes because you have to go a little thru the woods. The visit can be short or you can stay longer and do a picnic.

One of the nicest nature centers I have been to. A lot of wildlife (cranes, otter, ducks) and beautiful paths both paved and unpaved.

Came here one morning and did a hike around the ground. It's very nice and quiet (except for the numerous school kids), and as it is free it must be a nice area to go for a walk now and then. The historical farm area was also nice, but here I actually had expected more given the earlier reviews. However it... More

There was a good amount of central attractions one could see (a log cabin, a farm, etc.) but it was a little annoying that you had to travel down a winding path of just wheat colored tall grass to get to them. It became boring to look at. It also not a direct path; the path will twist and turn... More

I had the pleasure of exploring Spring Valley early on a Sunday Morning. I started off at the farm, and could have spent all day there admiring the animals and the farm. The volunteers are more than accommodating to your every request and/or question. This place needs a whole day to visit properly. Photo opportunities everywhere you look!

We are residents of Bloomingdale and are continuously disappointed by this pool. Our most recent example: They brought out boats for kids to try- although they never announced what it was for and for whom.......we had to ask a life guard to explain the event. 15 minutes before the event was supposed to end my four year old daughter finally...
