This is the place where the queen of Sheba used to bathe. How fun is it to believe that. It never dries up and locals still bathe here and swim. 7 meters deep at the high point and still 2 meters deep at the end...More

This is a very big pool and very old. Once a year it is filled with water to celebrate one of the religious festivals

Visited this as part of a trip in Axum - well worth having a guide as with all things in Ethiopia - this was one of 4 places visited

A very old water reservoir according to belief the pool of queen Sheba. Filled by rain water . Used today also for laundry by the locals.
