Took the historical tour of the Island and was quite surprised to hear and see historical buildings still standing after the island was turned into a ship repeating operations during the wars. Thoroughly enjoyed this visit

Of course you visit some attractions and they are not for you In my case this was one There is a lot of work going on so a lot of places were cordoned off which was a pity, maybe in the future this will be a better place to visit On the plus side there's a great view of the... More

We have been to Cockatoo often for various reasons over the years and love the place. The time came finally to do this tour. Whilst not strictly billed as a ghost tour, it's spook factor however will definitely vary according to one's experience with ghost tours. The location and buildings have real potential but i thought the tour is under... More

This is one of the most interesting places I have been to in Australia. I came here on a whim, at night, just to check it out. Totally worth it. There are informational sings explaining the convict and ship building history and an audio guide. Since I was here after hours , I didn't have access to the guide. However,... More

Cockatoo Island is a quick ferry ride from Circular Quay, passing beneath the Harbour Bridge and Luna Park. The island is not particularly pretty but it is fascinating. It was basically a prison and industrial ship building site,. There are two tunnels dug directly through the sandstone bluff in the centre of the island. There are lots of sign boards... More

One of the World heritage listed by UNESCO. The trip starts with catching a ferry from circular quay which stops at cockatoo island. There is no entry fee to this place. However, I would recommend to take an audio tour device from visitors help desk by paying a minimal charge of $5. As the place is of historical significance this... More

Our Son gave an overnight 'Glamping Experience" on Cockatoo Island as my husband's 67th Birthday gift. We chose to go when the weather was good so Spring and Autumn were obvious choices - we settled for just before Easter and the weather was perfect. It was a lot of fun to travel by ferry from Circular Quay to the island... More
