Beautiful, up close and personal interaction with a Glacier and the Lagoon. Watching the icebergs travel to the Ocean was really cool. The views are incredible! The Blue Ice and the massive size of the Glacier is amazing! A must see location.

This place was out of this world. Would definitely suggest taking the Ring Road around the whole of Iceland and experiencing all that the landscape has to offer.

I have to admit it was the longest day ever to make a day trip from Reykjavik to the glacier lagoon, but it was all worth it It is an indescribable beauty Giant blueish ice cubes just floating about Beautiful And the beach next to it, the most beautiful charcoal black sand Breath taking place An absolute must visit place

This place is unbelievable! We took a 5 hours ride with our rental car from Reykjavik to go there. As we saw most of the sightseeings between Rvk and Vik, the Jökusarlon and the glaciers in general were our reason for that trip. As we arrived at that natural wonder (as we called it) we just wanted to get a... More

This is one of my favorite places in Iceland. It is stunning and beautiful and unlike anything I've seen before. You can spend 15-30 minutes looking at the lagoon and walking up and down the shore. Please do not try to get on the ice or in the water. That is incredibly dangerous and unintelligent. Enjoy taking in the view... More

The scenery is so stunning you would think it's straight from a postcard. Just a short hike from the car park. We went early so tourists were few, so we were snapping photos to our hearts content ✌🏻

It was a very long drive to get here from where I was staying in Hekla, but this was more than compensated by the quality of this lagoon. Of course there were plenty of other visitors there at the same time, but because I arrived slightly later in the day I think most people had already left. The lake is... More

Thank goodness my hotel owner suggested I drive out to Jökulsárlón to see the icebergs. It’s one of the two things you absolutely must do if you’re ever lucky enough to visit Iceland. Jökulsárlón is a spot where pieces of the melting Breiðamerkurjökull glacier are in a constant state of breaking off into a lagoon created by the ice melt.... More

The glacier lagoon is well worth a visit! We came in October, and although it is really quite far from Reykjavik and surrounding areas (it took us 5 hours to drive back from the lagoon, without stopping!), it's definitely worth it if you love photography, geography, or just appreciate wonderful scenery. I have never seen anything else like it.
