We parked in the lot by the Art Center and took a short walk down the trail to a cute selection of shops, restaurants & pubs. We felt like we had been transported to Key West! Great food at Flatwater Restaurant and a side of...More

The Monon Trail in Hamilton county is very well maintained compared to Marion county. The Trail is kept clean from leaves and branches. It's always a beautiful place for exercise!

We rented bikes in Carmel and then took a bike ride down to Indianapolis. The trail is great, most of the way there is tree cover so it doesn't get too hot. There are some coffee shops, ice cream stores and restaurants along the way....More

I walked the Monon during the week. I nearly had the place to myself and as a woman alone I felt safe. No hidden curves and well paved.

Great trail for walking or biking. Or, if you just want to people watch you'll find plenty of people on the trail especially in downtown Carmel. Trail gets a little busy on the weekends, but once you get out of downtown Carmel the congestion if...More

Trail now extends north to Westfield. Rode 16 miles to state fair grounds and back. Very busy on a Saturday, so be prepared to slow down at times.
