This place is wonderful. The fossils are amazing. I plan to return when the water is lower. This is a great place for adults or children.

I've been to Falls of the Ohio state park many times, and have always enjoyed bringing visitors there. Unfortunately, it's really gone downhill. This weekend, the observation deck was closed for repairs. These things happen. But the fossil beds were covered with piles and piles...More

Not far off I-65, this is a great stopping place for a pleasant view of the river and falls, both of which have incredible historic significance for L'ville and steamboat traffic. Few people even know that these falls exist. If you have time, a visit...More

Love the history that goes along with being here. Have been before when you can view the fossils, couldn't today but just seeing the river is amazing in itself. I believe the best time to view the fossils is summer and fall when the water...More

Enjoyed an afternoon of fresh air on a warmer winter afternoon. Water was high and fast so there were no visible fossil beds. Driftwood was blocking some of the walkways down to the water. Nonetheless we enjoyed hiking, climbing the rocks and looking for beach...More
