I had some extra time last Saturday afternoon so I took the advice of the lady at the Visitor’s Center and bought a guided tour. Denver, our guide, was personable, patiently answering questions and seemed not only very knowledgeable, but enthusiastic about sharing information from this time in Indiana and U.S. history. Information was presented in timeline format in each... More

We had a great guided tour of the Corydon Capital State Historic Site. Our guide, Denver, was very knowledgeable and showed great interest in the people's stories and history he shared with us. Our tour included the governor's headquarters and the Coburn - Porter Law Office. The tour last about 45 to 50 minutes and our senior price was $5.00... More

Just walked around the outside of the building... So not sure if you can go inside... But it's a pretty nice place.

Neat, clean, town square, interesting history. Simple, not a whole lot to see but worth the stop if in the area

A worthwhile, historic stop in the beautiful little Southern Indiana town of Corydon. Drop in and get a guided tour of the building that served as the governing house of the Indiana Territory and state house for nine years after Indiana became a state. Much history here and friendly people to explain it.

Great history lesson on Indiana and this first capital location. Included in the tour was also Governor's mansion. Both were worth the time.

Great and classic town square-think Back to the Future. I visited during the state's bicentennial and the whole downtown was decorated red, white, and blue-this community has civic pride. Won't take you long to visit, but worth it. Only reason I didn't give a five was the $3 admission charge for a small building. Could be spendy for a family.

This site is well maintained and very visible from the major traffic route. It also has access to town streets on both sides and the back. Parking is plentiful and close to other shopping and food venues. It is well worth the time to stop and walk the block.
