We were in Elkhart on our way to Milwaukee. Stopped here to see if there were any birds around. Lady at the center was very nice and helpful and told us of another place to visit. Had a nice walk, but did not see many birds.

This place is a recycled dump that now serves the community as an educational center, yoga studio, and nature habitat. The trails are nice and suitable for young children as well as adults. The staff are very friendly and have some nice hands on projects for younger children.

EEC is a very beautiful place, constructed over an old city dump, still growing, is very beautiful, has many ponds surrounded by native plants, and a envirofriendly cabin

I set on the steps going down to old gravel pit for hours and watch the beauty. I live across from this woods and am amazed and just love the... More
