I had not really visited the zoo since our kids were small, but I recently purchased an individual zoo pass so I could accompany friends & their littles. The landscaping is beautiful and very pleasing to the eye. When kids see the peacocks roaming around, they are enthralled! The layout of the zoo is very nice with gentle slopes here... More

I have to give the STL zoo number one being from there! But his is a close second. So much to do! Almost too much for one day! From feeding giraffes, to walking with kangaroos. We had so much fun here. VERY pricey though. I cant remember if they honored our zoo membership from stl for a discount.

I am not a regular visitor of zoos but I doknow what comprises a good operation. this is my home town but biases aside, this operation treats animals with respect and dignity. The human experience is of decent quality and still elicites awe in every visit. This is also a rescue/preservation operation.

This is a refreshing, interesting, complete and very well landscaped and organized animal park. Surprising fresh, fun, and interesting. It is comparable to those in larger cities. In places, I am reminded of the zoos in Jacksonville, FL and Jerusalem, Israel and Washington D.C.

So glad you enjoy visiting! We are a "children's" zoo simply in the fact that everything, from the layout to the height of our windows and signs, are designed to be kid-friendly. Thanks for your review! More

If you're reading this then I assume you've never been here. As a child and again as a parent of young children (in the 1990`s), I visited many times. Then I stopped going until last year, when my wife and I visited with another couple. Wow. This zoo was always a fun day with kids, but these 50 year old`s... More

Understand something. We are in our 60s but have never outgrown our love for the zoo. Fort Wayne's Children's Zoo I would classify as for children of all ages, with more than 1,000 species of animals, there is plenty to see for a delightful afternoon. Opened in 1965, the zoo has continued to grow and add to its exhibits. Very... More

I have been going to this zoo for several years. Is one of my favorites to attend. However, we did skip it this time. We did not think about end of school year field trips for our couples getaway. At least 20 buses with school ages children and people lined out the door. Will return later this summer!

Thanks for the review and yes spring time brings a lot of school field trips. Just an FYI - after 1:30 pm those same 20 buses leave the zoo and then it's an amazing afternoon at the zoo with less little feet scurrying around. More

I have grew up in norther Indiana and one of the biggest things I would get excited about each year when I was young was being able to go to the zoo. Since then it has change A LOT But for the better. It can get pretty expensive but honestly worth it. I've have been to several other zoos and... More

Thanks Olivia! Giraffe feeding a highlight for many guests at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo. You can also touch stingray in Stingray Bay if you haven't done that yet. I strongly recommend! :) More
