For Mother's Day, the kids took me to the Indianapolis Museum of Art for a walk in the gardens. What a pleasant setting and plenty to see. Vegetable garden, fountains, green houses, fields, flowers, and plenty of paths to follow. We had a map but went our own way. We lucked out with the weather and had sunshine. We made... More

Came specifically to see the temporary Audubon exhibit which was very good and then went through the museum's extensive permanent galleries of American, European, African, and Asian art. Each gallery is thoughtfully laid out and has many exquisite works of art in just about every medium. You can easily spend three or more hours just looking through all the art,... More

The museum, the gardens and Lily house exceeded our expectations. Great first day in Indianapolis. You might need more than one day.

My wife and I revisited the Indianapolis Museum of Art today to see the 250,000 flowering plants at the Spring Blooms event. Walking among the thousands of beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees on the grounds of the Indianapolis Museum of Art is so peaceful and relaxing . . . especially on such a gorgeous day. The iconic Eli Lilly House... More

It is beautiful and tons to see. But need more than one day to see it all. The cafe is nice and food was on the high side but great taste.

Art is the chicken soup of the soul. It takes you to another place and time without the travel. If you are really good you almost feel like you are there.

I'm a big fan of the Indianapolis Museum of Art. There're lots of great permanent exhibitions, but the changing special exhibitions make it worthwhile to revisit. The museum has a lot of art by Robert Indiana (most known for the 1973 LOVE stamp). Right next to the museum is the Lilly House and gardens, which is also well worth the... More
