Home to over 2,000 animals and Indiana's largest aquarium, this 64-acre zoo has lions, elephants and other wild animals roaming through natural settings. A special petting area allows children to touch, but not feed, the tamer animals. There's also the world's largest enclosed dolphin show and a roller-coaster for all ages to enjoy.

We spent 5 hours here and still didn't make it through the entire zoo. My 4 yr old daughter loved it. We will definitely return again!

Very nice to see the animals out and about. I was surprised to see so many people at the zoo in the middle of winter - It was a nice day, about 60 degrees. A rather small zoo, but it was packed with different kinds of animals. Loved the orangutan exhibit!

We always enjoy the zoo; the grounds are stunning and the exhibits are natural. Except for the orangutans (which seem happy with lots of enrichment activities) and the dolphins-which is the only negative aspect of the zoo; not sure we need to have dolphins in Indiana in an exhibit where they never see the sky.

Indy has always had such a fun zoo, and I love to visit it with my family, friends, or even by myself. Love the big cats the best!

The Indy Zoo is big enough to get your fill on various animals - small enough you don't feel overwhelmed. Dolphin show is the must see. The staff is amazing - ask for Kayli when doing events - she will take good care of you!!!

Close to downtown, clean, and enough attractions to spend a day there. Perhaps not atshuge as other mega-zoos, but every display is quality.

Fabulous place to go anytime of year! Buy the annual family pass and enjoy all year long. Always different activity and face painting not to mention the animals. This is not a huge Zoo but it is a really nice one. We go very often! There are play areas and plenty to keep the children engaged. Make a day if... More
