We recently came here for the Christmas show in December and got tickets in one of the upper levels. I was concerned that our seats were too high up but once we got there I realized that the theater is on the smaller scale, and the seat placements were well designed. You can see all of the performers faces very... More

What an amazing event. The show from beginning till end was absolutely organized and funny. It was a good story, engaged the audience and it was well done by all character. The set was in good taste and in good color and easy on the eyes, the actors were just spot on with their queues and lines, and kept the... More

Yesterday, we saw the play, "Boeing, Boeing" at the IRT. It was great. The story is very funny and the actor were excellent--all of them! Just great! It is playing until April 2. I would recommend the IRT to anyone visiting Indianapolis. I have always had great experiences there. It is an intimate theatre with top-notch performances.

My fiancé and I love live theater, and having this architecturally wonderful venue, with always-friendly staff, and always first-rate performances, here in our own city is so wonderful! We have seen some fantastic shows here--most recently a Sunday Matinee performance of "Boeing Boeing", which was SUPERB! If you're looking for something to do in Indy--head to the IRT. No matter... Exactly what I expected from the IRT. High-quality acting and a good play. The evening was filled with burst of laughter, comical stunts in a few surprises. A fun and enjoyable evening for sure.

So far all the performances we have seen have been terrific. It is so nice to have professional theatre in Indy. We are season ticket holders and had to exchange a few tickets due to changes in our personal schedules and the box office does an excellent job helping to exchange our tickets for different days. There really is no... More

We caught one of the last performances of this 50 Year Old - and still relevant - play about a mixed race romance. The set was stunning! The Cast was superb. The Audience was fully engaged. Of note was the lead actress who had been injured and was unable to continue. The Theater Manager alerted the audience that her last-minute... More

When a friend and I decide to meet in Indianapolis on a cold February weekend, I went online to look for things to do inside, in case it was a very cold weekend. I found out that Indy has a professional theatre, Indiana Rep. So I bought ticket to see Guess who's coming to dinner? So glad I did that!... More

We've been members of IRT for many years and have rarely if ever been disappointed. The production of "Guess Whose Coming To Dinner" was as usual a stellar production. Flawless acting and production values. A set that is amazing to behold. A powerful play done from a great company

Warning: You're reading a review by somebody who is gaga about drama, plays, theatre in general. The main theatre building is the 1927 Indiana Theatre, with Spanish Baroque facade of, I think, terra cotta. Inside it's just as intriguing! Moroccan archways in a two-story atrium, definitely a 1920s feel to the interior decor, and a fascinating series of displays of... More
