Building is limestone & features all Indiana counties & what they are noted for. Inside is facade of school 105..I taught there! IMAX is a big draw as well.

Just got back from the third visit that we've made to this museum over the past decade. The first some nine years ago is still a fond memory - cases full of historically significant civil war artifacts, etc. The second maybe three or four years ago was the exact opposite - no memorable artifacts, just a bunch of interpretive exhibits.... A must see for those visiting Indianapolis. There are many different display areas from early Indiana to the African American Experience.

My son and I had an outing. This was the best selection. We saw a 3D documentary and really had fun. Popcorn, drinks and exhibits later were nice too. He really wants to go again and with me....go figure!

Attended a corporate event here for my boyfriend's company and really enjoyed it. What a unique way to spend an evening. I'm sure it's great to visit on its own, but I really liked that this space was chosen for a work event, as it made the event so much more interesting. If you're looking for an event space in... Natural Disaster' exhibit was really great to see. There was also a timeline exhibit of the history. It was a neat place to see and experience.

My sister, our kids and I wanted to check out the new 'Natural Disaster' exhibit that we were hearing about on the radio. The construction of the exhibit was impressive with lots of facts to read about natural disasters, such as hurricanes, tsunamis and earthquakes. The models of the different types of volcanoes and the types of volcanic rocks produced... More

Company function. If you like rocks and rock fossils you might like this more than I did. There was also a timeline exhibit of the history of the state of Indiana. It wasn't all that exciting.

For this visit we came solely to view the IMAX movie. There is ample indoor parking and there is easy access to the theatre. We were impressed with the massive and innovative "sculpture" crafted from cd's and dvd's that adorned the entrance to the museum from the parking garage. That alone is worth a stop at the museum.
