This is the best part of the zoo for adults to explore. Beautiful ponds, shade gardens and pollination gardens. We enjoyed the butterfly sanctuary and strolling the grounds. Nice place to stop and cool down and enjoy a little quiet.

Butterfly Garden, loads of flowers, a miniature train. What is not to love about this place?? We used to go here on a family pass with the kids and they would play hide and seek with their dad among the arches and sidewalks.

We’ve gone multiple times to the gardens and always see something new. It’s a peaceful place to visit. We’ve been for the Christmas poinsettias and train and also been for the butterfly exhibit both are very special.

We loved this - visited it at the end of the Zoo day. Butterfly house - not a ton of butterflies, but awesome! The gardens - quiet and lovely - reminds me of European gardens. Totally recommend!!! Educational too. And, great gift shop!

These gardens are a hidden gem, absolutely stunning gardens of various styles with wooded spots, water features, and a wedding venue. A very romantic spot!

Infrastructure is beautiful with the space divided into 'rooms' with interesting features and whimsical sculpture. The wild prairie plantings were at their peak, replete with butterflies and bees, and had a decent assortment of native flora. Much of the other space was underwhelming in design,...More

Apparently admission is free if you pay to get into the zoo. It is nice and relaxing. Quite a few butterflies and countless species of plants, shrubs, tress, etc. I rated it a little lower because there was no information about the butterflies you were...More

Attempted to visit on MLK day as Zoo and parking were free. But alas, as with my previous visit the gardens were closed. The last time it was for removal of a lego display. This time it was for renovation. Whatever.

You should just buy the adult (or senior?) ticket that covers everything - it is just under $10.00 each. I don't know if there is a separate price for only the Gardens. Also, it is free on Jan. 15, Martin Luther King Day... More
