We were thrilled Guggisberg Cheese Shop was open early. We were travelling through the area, and most cheese shops were closed. Lot's of signage on the highway, very easy to find. Great selection of cheeses and fantastic staff. Very knowledgeable & helpful. You can also watch the cheese being made through the windows! Very clean and easy parking. It also... More

The name of this business is actually Guggisberg Cheese. Deutsch Kase Haus is the description of what the business is - a German Cheese House. As a proud Buckeye, I would also like to point out the much larger (and more crowded) original Guggisberg cheese is located near Charm in Holmes County. This Indiana outlet also had charming cheese to... More

It's located just outside of Middlebury. It's a must when visiting Amish country. They have about 20 different types of cheeses and tons of specialty snacks. We usually head there before eating at the Essenhaus. Be sure to grab yourself a cheese head hat! Kids love it!

They make the best cheese! you can see it being made and sample some of the many varieties before you buy. This is a must-stop every time I visit!

Yep, that's what I came for and that's what I bought! Samples are provided of most of their cheese products so you aren't purchasing blindly. They also offered jellies, mustards, pickles, noodles, and other Amish made products. What really grabbed my attention though was the 2 lb rolls of homemade butter priced at only $8.99! If it was closer to... More

We shopped early one morning and were happy to find a great selection and low prices. The Amish ladies were respectful and helpful and did not mind us poking around their store. There are other items besides the cheeses which are made in the same building.

Love to go to this little shop in the heart of Indiana's Amish country. Walk around through the little shop and sample every cheese they make, which is substantial! Prices are very fair and the staff of ladies quite cordial. They also have some of those old fashion candies you had as a child and other foods and condiments hard... More

They make a grilled cheese on cheesy garlic bread that is amazing! It's fun to watch the cheese being made. We love that they offer samples so we know what we like before we buy it!
