Fort Liefkenshoek is a fun version of a history lesson. It's suprisingly good for a free museum. I can read Dutch but non Dutch speakers will have to make do without written explanation. All in all a great to spend a couple of hours.

We stopped here while on a bike trip. it is a nice place to have a refreshing drink ad small snack. You can enjoy the nice outside seating with the view of the fortress and the river.
