I did not ride the train which was fine as I was there to see the historic pieces of equipment. This museum is great for the rail fan and anyone wanting to get up close and personal with these examples of these vanishing history. It is kid friendly and would be a good introduction to trains. Not everything is on... More

I took my grandchildren on the Christmas train with Santa and Mrs. Clause. The refreshments served on board were very appropriate for the time of year. They didn't enjoy the story so much before the train ride.

This railroad transportation museum is in our hometown's city park, Forest Park. I offers tours of restored locomotives, cabooses, dining cars, transportation transit cars and also offers trips to the Indiana State Fair during August, Pumpkin Patch trips, Evening Dining trips to nearby small towns, Halloween haunted trips, etc. My family have all enjoyed many trips over the last 20... There is a gift shop and train rides on holidays. A real museum would be welcomed. Conner prairie is real museum in the Williamsburg tradition. I dont know which came first.

I took my son on his first train ride with Santa over the holidays. It's a quick trip to and from noblesville. You start in Carmel and ride the train to Noblesville and back. In terms of luxury or 5 star this isn't for you so don't expect much but if you are prepared to watch your 5 year old... More

Wanna go to dinner and get there the old fashioned way? Do the couples dinner and enjoy being chauffeured in classic style! We dressed in 20's attire and went to a romantic candlelight dinner.

Have a brother that is a train buff so we try to check out the variety of train attractions in the area and we made a trip to see this one last summer. It was a hot muggy day so it was stuffing touring some of the trains as we waited for our train ride. It was very interesting to... More

Located in Noblesville's gorgeous largest city park (swimming, golf, kids games and rides, miniature golf, picnicking and more). The Transportation Museum offers adults and kids to rail cars and railroad history up close. Plan to picnic in Forest Park, and make a day of it.

The transportation museum offered many different activities. You can pumpkin or Santa train, they have mystery dinners, the pizza train, rent it out for a party. Many options, and we've done almost all of them. One of our favorites was touring the train yard.
