Beautiful stone building built with style of its time. Marble steps and marble hand railings. Beautiful high ceilings. Just a great place to visit. If at all possible try to get a tour of building and if so even visit the attic. Quite and architectural accomplishment. Be sure and leave your knife and pistol in your car, you will be... More

Wayne County Courthouse is one of the most beautiful county courthouses in Indiana. It is an imposing structure visible when you enter Richmond on Historic National Road (US 40) from the east or west.

The courthouse is the largest Richardsonian Romanesque courthouse in Indiana. The interior is not especially ornate, but the building is worth seeing.

The court house is a very old building but still in good shape - it has some old things (building wise) still in it from many many years ago - it is well protected with a metal detector at the front door

Looks like a castle in the middle of town! You can't miss it! The police station is right next door which has an unusal architecture too. White columns all the way around the building. Nice downtown area too!. It's within walking distance to Joy Ann Bakery which has the best thumb print cookies I have ever had.

Finished in 1893, this Romanesque stone building is one of the most impressive buildings in Richmond. Situated near the rim of the Whitewater River gorge, it is well worth a drive-by if not a visit.
