The Rose Garden in Richmond is a lovely little oasis along a noisy major city street. On October 15, 2016, the roses were probably past their prime, but there were still quite a few perfect blooms. This garden isn't spectacular, but it's worth stopping to see if you're visiting other sites in Richmond.

In the summertime there is no prettier place in town to visit. If you love roses, this is a must-see. The gazebo is a lovely place to rest while taking in the blossoms, and the fountain is very nice as well. And if you're a Pokémon Go player, you will find no better stop in the area than right here!

I've been to the garden in the spring before all the roses are in bloom and found it to be a peaceful spot even with the main road on the other side of the new fence. In the summer when the garden is in full bloom I have seen a few weddings take place and had to step out of... More

I was visiting my daughter in Indiana and we happened to go to the park one afternoon. We were walking up the path toward the rose gardens and what a fragrant surprise I received. The roses smelled so beautiful. You could smell them before you could even see them. I love flowers and to spend the afternoon in the rose... More

What a gem! The rose garden is tranquil and inviting; it's fun to wander among the roses bushes and enjoy their beauty, or just relax in the gazebo with a friend. I can only imagine how spectacular this would be for a wedding!

All done by volunteers, attached to gold course and right off the street/sidewalk. Had over 100 varieties of roses - never seen so many in my life, and at least 10 diff colors. Some stalks had 2 types of roses on one stalk. Pretty gazebo - a photographers dream!

This place is beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk around and the roses that were in bloom were spectacular. It wasn't too hot when we were there on a breezy June day so we enjoyed it thoroughly.

The site was well maintained. We enjoyed the variety of roses. Even though the park is next to SR 40, it still had an air of peacefulness. It is easily accessible. There are benches if you want to just sit and enjoy the beauty.

Don't expect much. It is a small garden of roses. Nothing special, or worth planning a trip to. Glenn Miller Park is right next to the garden. Much better location to visit.
