Security review of bags, purses at the door. Friendly, helpful ushers. Popcorn, soft drinks, pretzels...Snacky items sold. Programs with stats of players available. Seats are comfy with beverage holders. All seats have a wonderful view of the floor. Sound system and video are good.

Do I need a parking permit to visit the basilica & grotto and how do I get one?

I do not believe you need a parking permit. However, the public parking is near the stadium and be prepared for a walk to the Grotto and Basilica.

At the time we went, May 2016, we did not need a parking permit but there was actually not much going at the time we were there. We were there May 17th so I think school may have been out. We did see some grads and they... More

I have flown into south bend, Chicago midway and Chicago O'Hare. South Bend airport is small and easy, and I recommend flying to south bend if you can get a good deal. It is also cheaper and far easier to rent a car in... More
