Pretty place in fall

Went there last week. Leaves were changing nicely. Hung out at the dam and watched the fishermen. Nice day trip from Cincinnati.

Versailles State Park is a great place to hike, boat, camp, or bring your horses! The campgrounds are nice and kept clean. There's also a new horseman's camp where you can park your horses next to your camper. There are many buildings/shelters still in use that were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, including the Group Camp, which can be... More

Drove through Versailles State Park this morning and it was beautiful. A lot of people were out walking and enjoying the park.

Even in the cold weather, this park is great for walking. The trails are well marked, and parking is easy.

There are lots of shelters in this park and I left thinking it would be a nice place to have a group outing. We stopped in for some hiking and a picnic lunch on a very warm weekday. There were only a few other people in the park, it was extremely quiet. There are 3 hiking trails and several mountain... More

We camped here for 4 nights in mid July so that we could attend a family get together in Lawrenceburg. Since we were gone each day, only to return every evening, we really didn't get to utilize the park's features much, but we did look around some. We set up camp with our A-frame camper in Loop A on site... More

We found a last minute open spot on July 4th weekend. It was a perfect site and very big. All of the campsites are large and have plenty of room for large or small groups. Everything is very conveniently placed. The camp store has tons of firewood reasonably priced. We can't wait to return!

A light hike alongside, and crossing, Falling Timber Creek was a great way to get some fresh air and get a first glimpse of Southern Indiana. It was fairly cool when we went, around 75 degrees.

This is the second time we have stayed here and both times have encountered the same issues. The mountain bike trails are wonderful the lake is very nice for kayaking or fishing lots of great trails, beautiful scenery, an eagle's nest on the kayak trip and the best fireworks show I've ever seen on the 4th of July. Sadly there... More

The park is nothing special IMO. Nothing unique or different to see or do. If you live locally I could understand liking it as a place to get out in nature and hike around a bit, but I'd never make a point of going out of my way to go there. I'm not too familiar with Indiana, but if you're... More
