Beautiful location for a wedding! They allowed us to walk around and look at the buildings. The couple even had drinks served in the saloon. So fun!

We had our wedding at the Gazebo and the reception at the Lodge. Teresa and the rest of the staff couldn't of been more helpful and great to work! The location is beautiful and the lodge is just gorgeous with the river and trees as backdrop with all the windows.

Over a long period of time Cedar Rapid's have worked to recreate an historical village from the late 19th century.Fun for the whole family and a pleasnt afternooin vist with educational value. Also have a new(ish ) reception hall for family reunions, receptions and the like which is contemporary and highly functional.

Its a very cool place to visit as long as you visit during the summer. One time when I went we got about two houses in and they started locking the houses. When we asked them why they said it was because of school trips and to come bake when schools out. But when I decided to try them again during... More

The staff at this venue are complacent with their jobs and want to leave for home as soon as they possibly can (even if that means making people end their events early)They were rude to our guest. They fabricated stories to keep our entire deposit. Our wedding was mild at best. Average age of our guest was mid 50's ....... More

Beware of rude overbearing staff, hidden fees and penalties. The staff really did their best to ruin a beautiful night! Find another venue! It is not worth the stress and frustration here!

DO NOT.....I REPEAT....DO NOT have your wedding at this location if you are thinking about it. The staff is absolutely horrible and believe me you do not want to have to deal with them. I sincerely wish I could rate this place with zero stars. The staff lies, they come up with charges after your wedding even though you signed... More

A fabulous evening from 5-6:30 with my grand daughters, ages 3 and 4. We enjoyed the hay rack ride, bonfire, crafts, and popcorn and sarsaparilla in the saloon as the barmaid played the piano.

My two year old son and I came here on a random Thursday and we were the only ones here for most of our stay. It was nice and quiet but some of the buildings were not open and I would have liked to go in the general store and hotel, in particular. Fortunately we don't live far from here... More

I have immense interest in vintage and primatives so I got to help field questions from the kids. They have lovely facilities there and the "guides" are very sweet with the children. (I am not sure when I went, so guessed on the date.)
