I applaud this small museum's thoughtful exhibitions. However, for a museum noted for its Grant Wood collection, there really aren't many on view! The museum has an excellent small store - selling original artwork from their local community, as well as traditional museum shop goods....More

Made a quick detour to this local art museum, and sadly, it left us wishing it offered more. The 20 or so pieces by Grant Wood were impressive, but the rest of the displays were quickly skipped through. I know it is hard to acquire...More

Nice people provide good info and suggested items to see. Very well laid out, easy to walk around and see all exhibits in an hour or so.

Small but impressive museum with high quality art. Very extensive collection of Grant Wood. Many other quality artists as well. Would certainly visit again if in the area.

The Cedar Rapids Art Museum was a surprising little gem -- the building is lovely and the collection is really quite nice for a small city's art museum. Plus, the staff is engaging and very friendly.

I've enjoyed each visit to this museum. It isn't the largest museum I've been to but it is well done. Make sure you check out the Grant Wood house just a couple blocks away.

We enjoyed our visit to the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art this weekend. The collection is wonderful-- the CRMA has the largest collection of Grant Wood pieces in the world, and its exhibits are well-curated. We learned a lot from the Grant Wood exhibit, not...More
