I cannot believe this is in Iowa. What a lovely, gorgeous place! It is a very short walk to the waterfall and you can climb the rock up to the top. Great views!

We were in Decorah for a recital at Luther College and looking for a few quick things to do on a beautiful day. Dunning Springs Park was a nice quick stop. It's a short walk to see the waterfall but a little treacherous if you want to climb up to the top along side the falls. There is a good... More

A short 10 minute walk to the waterfall. Lots of water and very pretty location. Some picnic tables and benches. Had a chemical toilet.

The springs are running at full tilt and it is magnificent. Witnessed several girls in the spring with the dunning springs fall in the background and I am sure the pictures will be memorable. Along with their ice cold feet that came out bright red.

You'[[ see a remarkable waterfall (actually strong fast flow of cold spring water cascading over limestone outcropping) that is just across the Turkey River from downtown Decorah, and just a 50-step walk from the parking area!! It couldn't be more accessible! There ARE plenty of walkways and trails that take you up and above the phenomenal falls, but those are... More

It was very cold, but the scenery was gorgeous. The waterfall and the views were worth the weather! If you are just headed to the waterfall, the walk isn't strenuous. The stairs and trails, require better knees and agility. If you're in the area make the stop.

Very pretty. No hike/walk. Cute picnic table near spring. Small area. Check it out if in then, don't come here just to see it.

This is a hidden gem, not to be missed. Any time of the year should be okay. As someone else said, there's no toilet facilities, so, take care of that before you go. Thirty minutes to an hour should take care of your visit. Parking can be a problem at times, but it's not impossible. It's a great place to... More

A fun place, especially in spring (fast flowing spring/creek), summer (picnic area) and fall (great colors)! Close to town, easy to find and get to- some climbing (optional).

I've repeatedly come back to Dunnings Spring Park. Cool water is refreshing on the hottest days, and one can (carefully) walk and scramble up the creek, the waterfall's edge and eventually into the cave where the spring pours out of the rocks. It's unique to have a clear and clean natural spring that you can get right into! Nearly everyone... More
