A good walk for any day!

Love this two mile walk. There is always plenty of people walking. It is safe for families. The paved path is easy for strollers or wheelchairs.

In the middle of the bustle of the City there lays a quaint lil park with a lake and some amazingly beautiful views of the city. Seem to be activities here different times of the year.

Great for walking, scenery, right in the heart of DSM. Fishing mostly stinks here, but great for all other recreational activities, boat rentals, etc. If it's too busy, go across the street to water works park for less congestion.

Gray's Lake is a great place to get outdoors. There's paths for walking/running, play equipment for the children, and water accessibility. Pets are allowed (leashed) and there are tables and such for picnicking. It's a nice way to relax and enjoy the fresh air.

We love coming here to keep cool in the summer. The area is kept pretty clean and the available life jackets are always nice. The bathrooms could use some better drainage though.

If you are in town for business this a great location to catch fresh air. It's very close to downtown and the 2 mile loop is good for a walk or jog. Plenty of birds including an eagle's nest near the northern entrance to the park.

I have gone to Gray's Lake many times in the late afternoon to ride my bike or walk around the path on the concrete walkway. I love to walk across the lighted foot bridge at night. The lake is beautiful.

Can always count on Grays Lake to have a clean quiet area to park and relax to a lunch and even some good looking women jogging always a great place to visit

I have loved going to Gray's Lake for a long, long time, and have been able to do so many different activities there. There is a 2.1 mile loop around the lake, which is great for running, walking, or rollerblading. It's fine for cycling, too, though I would generally recommend taking one of the many paths that split off from... More
