Nice selection of animals, easy walk around, LOVE the giraffe's and the baby rhino. Good parking, loads of shade, Red panda's are adorable, nice cats, the Austraiian exibits is great. Indoor displays are very good too. Good for smallest to biggest children.

This is a small zoo and great for a couple hours of relaxing. I was surprised how clean it was and how healthy the animals all looked. Our family, including 2 teenagers, thought it was very nice.

I've been to zoos in other cities. And for the size of Des Moines, this a good zoo, animals are cared for and easy access
