We rode on the "elevator" on a rainy day. It was still fun and we were able to see across the river to Wisconsin and Illinois. My 3 boys enjoyed it and marveled at the steepness of it.

Very quiet, works on pulleys. Goes by fast since it is a very short railway. But it is priced fairly cheap and something historical to say that you've done, so it's worth it and has a neat view! Not the easiest to find the top...More

So thrilled they are keeping a historical tradition alive! When the town actually used this mode of transportation it was a brilliant and evolutionary idea. Now people can come and experience a part of history! For $3 dollars round trip you will get the view...More

The view at the top of Fenelon Place is absolutely breathtaking! The ride down was really neat. When you think about how long the elevator has been in service and that it is still operational is really awesome. Plus I personally can't imagine walking up...More

The observation platform at the top offers great views of the downtown and surrounding area. I always make sure to visit a couple times a year when they’re open (April - November). They don’t take debit/credit cards so make sure to have cash before visiting.

Shop at the specialty stores on Bluff. Walk to the bottom of the 4th Street Elevator, ride to the top and see the beautiful view!!! Then enjoy the ride back down.

No, the elevator car is very narrow and set up like a set of stairs on the inside, there be no where to put the wheelchair.
