Nice little stop along the way. We started at the bottom and rode up the hill. It was pretty cool on the way up and seeing everything once you got to the top, the ride down was nice but kind of freaked my daughter out...More

Cool little trip to the top of the hill. Fun ride and great view of Dubuque! Didn't walk the neighborhood at the top of the ride but enjoyed our trip!

Everyone who either lives in Dubuque or visits Dubuque should experience this historic treasure! It's a wonderful part of the cable car square.

This is something to ride on first of all, this thing almost goes straight up. If your afraid of heights I would pass. But the trip to the top is well worth it. When we got to the top the view was terrific, you could...More

Best view of downtown. Historic and unique to Dubuque. Inexpensive and doesn't take very long. Unfortunately there is nothing to do at the top other than take in the view and snap a pic. Ride back down and go to Monks for coffee or beer.

It doesn't take long to get to the top, but the ride is quick, smooth, and they have some really nice views from their top exit/entrance. We rode up and walked down, and it was worth the $3 (1.50 per person each way)

Unless you really want to ride in the tiny car to the top, I would suggest just driving to the top south tower. This has an overlook area and you can see some great historic homes along the drive. It's a great perspective on the...More

A great way to get a panoramic view of Dubuque and the Mississippi. Not expensive. The shops at the bottom are nice to explore, too.
