My kids loved the water park and arcade and the setting on the river is stunning but our visit otherwise was mediocre. For what we paid for the Fireplace Suite, the attention to detail was lacking. Our hotel room was big but the bathroom door handle was broken and the wall sconce outside the door was broken. We had to... More

We have been to bigger, grander water parks, but that didn't matter to the kids! We stayed a Thursday night so it wasn't too busy. The slides had short lines and the three boys (ages 7, 8, 9) really enjoyed the large climbing structure and the giant bucket that dumps about every 10 minutes. Our room was comfortable and had... This hotel is a beautiful, very large hotel right beside the Mississippi River. It is clean and well maintained. It is only a few blocks from the center of downtown Dubuque. It has a large water park on the South side of the building. I think it is excessively lavish and very expensive.

The hotel was very clean. We stayed on the 3rd floor on the river side. The view of the Mississippi river was very pretty. We didn't make it to the water park this visit, but had a late night snack and a delicious breakfast at Tony Roma's the restaurant in the hotel. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We came up for Iowa Winter Games and stayed at a different hotel so I can't comment on hotel side. The staff was putting baking soda in pool. Asked staff about it and they said they had to treat pH levels. Team wished it had a testing kit with us. The pool tasted salty and it isn't a salt water... More

we booked this location for NYE based on the indoor waterpark and proximity to the casino in order to please all ages in our group traveling to celebrate the new year. The room was not ready upon arrival but we were provided access to the waterpark with the use of locker rooms. the waterpark needs a facelift or at least... More

Nice clean rooms. We choose to forgo the maid service and take the extra hour of checkout time. The pool and hot tub areas are in need of some TLC but kids loved it and we had fun too. Not much for deep water but there are 2 hot tubs, one for adults and one for kids. Great arcade. We... More

We came with our 10 & 7 yr old boys, they had fun at the waterpark, but by even their admission, it was dirty and needed more lighting. The hot tub has areas where it's breaking down and feels like sand. The lifeguards were barely engaged. The rooms...at $149- $179/night. I have had FAR nicer. The mattresses felt like they... More

Took the kids for a visit and they had a great time. Even in the middle of summer, however, the water seemed a bit chilly. The slides were lots of fun and unique. There are 4 hot tubes and a snack bar also. The snack bar closes about 30 minutes before the waterpark does. Identifying a lifeguard was a bit... More
