Red Rock is a beautiful lake in Iowa you visit. There are numerous camp grounds to choose from that have tent and camper sites. Electric is available at the camper sites. It is a federally ran camp ground so senior passes and access passes get...More

I love Lake Red Rock no matter what season of the year. I almost always see deer on my hikes as well as turkeys, squirrels and rabbits. Eagles, pelicans and multiple birds in the wooded areas or along the river or lake. The campgrounds are...More

We really liked this campground! It's not on the Lake, but on the river side of the dam. Though it's an easy drive to a swimming beach, lakeside trails, and Lake Red Rock Visitors' Center. Howell Station Campground is beautiful with trees all around, with...More

Besides the huge lake that offers boating, skiing, and fishing, there are trails and campsites. As well as cabin rentals. Near the dam, there are restaurants and bars with music (I once played in a band here each weekend years ago). Pella or Knoxville are...More

My husband and I decided to go do a little hiking on a beautiful summer day. We live about 25 minutes from Lake Red Rock, so I investigated their trails online before we went. We picked the Stu Kuyper Trail because it had some loops...More

Plenty to do for all ages. Just drive around the lake and you can find something for everyone to enjoy. Great swimming, boating, camping, hiking, biking, and nature trails. Can easily spend an entire day from sunup to sundown. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets!

I went up last week-end to ride the Volksweg trail that skirts Lake Red Rock. This is an amazing paved trail with numerous scenic overlooks. The campsites were all clean and the fishing is good. Would highly recommend.

if you take the nature trail at Cordova park you can access some cliffs. but really any walk along the shore line will gain you access to some. or a boat would allow you to access them all
