We went during the summer, but earlier in the day (they open at 1pm and that is when we went). It was terrific to see what it was like when he and his siblings were growing up. However, it is not handicap accessible, so my friend couldn't go upstairs and that is where so much of the more interesting stuff... More

Beautiful tribute to Meredith Wilson and his musical "The Music Man". Quaint town along the river. Also seen a hotel and house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Both are beautiful.

We were there on a holiday so it was closed, but we were able to walk around the house and the museum. The entire square is too good to pass up. Lots of wonderful statues and architecture.

Janice was our docent and gave us a great tour of a house built 100+ years ago. Told us of the Willson family history and how his family shaped him. While most furnishings are not original, they are period appropriate.

The tour of the home was at the end of the tour of Music Man Square. We were disappointed that we couldn't view this separately. The home is very well kept up and the tour was interesting but the docent didn't seem comfortable with her material so that detracted a bit. I would highly recommend this tour if you could... More

Tour included with the Music Man Square. Very informative tour about Meredith Willson and his family. Has original furnishings donated by his brother's family.

We enjoyed the tour of Meredith Willson's Boyhood Home in conjunction with visiting Music Man Square. We had a great guide, and we received a wealth of information about the history of the home and the family.

Loved being able to walk around the house and see all of it, including the attic....my favorite part of the museum.

I was unaware of the story of Meredith Wilson however the home and music man square provide a vast amount of insight. Original pieces in the home as well as well educated tour guides provide a vast amount of back story as well as individual stories for each member of the family.

We arrived very late in the day, but convinced our docent to take us through. We had a half hour and it sufficed for the 2 of us to walk through and see the home. Lots of original items and photos of the family. We heard several interesting stories. Our docent was fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable. Photography allowed as long... More
