We were fortunate (or not) to visit while the home is undergoing a $2 million dollar restoration...all the paintings were down, glasses in cupboards but still able to see the beautiful workmanship of this home. The kitchen cupboards are as tall as a basketball player and the "Downton Abbey" bells for the servants are in the kitchen as well. Lovely... More

Went to this location when staying at a nearby B & B, interesting rooms with various pieces of art in each one. From pictures, dishes, more and run by local volunteers, with outside area.

Excellent small art center and museum. Beautiful setting and unbelievable art collection for such a small place in a small town. Always a new and exciting exhibit going on.

I love my local art center! I captured a couple of pictures while visiting during their 50th Year Celebration! You can wander through the home of the Mussers, through the art galleries or take a break outside in the Chinese Garden. Weddings and other gatherings can also take place here. Admission is by donation only. I think you will be... More

This is just an amazing trip through the opening doors of a beautifully preserved Edwardian Mansion in the heart of this historic river town to galleries devoted to the rich story of America's heartland in a variety of art forms, a peaceful family retreat from all the noise of amusement "theme parks." There may be nothing in the country quite... More

Some generous individuals have gifted a large number of Impressionist paintings as well as Picasso etc. Not what you would expect to find in a small town art gallery or even a mid sized city. Truly a treasure with many treasures

This museum may be small but it is packed with some awesome treasures! The building itself is a magnificent example of a home of the lumber barons and of past glory, and the grounds are lovely as well. The collections it holds are wonderful and the various exhibits are interesting, educational, and often spectacular.

A beautiful house and art museum. Totally worth an hour or two of your time. Especially interesting was the Mississippi River road exhibit, and some great impressionist etc. works. Very relevant for our trip along the river road.
